Support for industry
The Centre for Regulatory Innovation is a convener and focal point that works with businesses to help them connect with regulators.
It helps businesses, particularly start‑ups and small to medium enterprises that want to launch a product or service that does not clearly fall into a specific sector, navigate the federal regulatory system and connect with the relevant department or agency.
Once the business is connected with the relevant department or agency, the centre can further support engagement between regulators and industry by helping the regulator undertake an experiment. Results of experiments will help develop regulatory requirements that support new technologies and promote innovation in Canada.
