Work Plan 2018 – 2020 The Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat – Ministry of Economy of the Mexican United States
Context
The purpose of this Plan is to establish activities and evaluation measures aimed at: (1) strengthening the information-sharing and regulatory cooperation efforts between Canada and Mexico, and (2) furthering the development and adoption of Good Regulatory Practices (GRPs) in Latin America and the Caribbean.
This Plan has been developed as a means of implementing the Memorandum of Understanding for the Advancement of Good Regulatory Practices (MOU) between the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat and the Ministry of Economy, through the National Commission for Better Regulation (CONAMER) of the Mexican United States, hereinafter referred to as the “Participants”.
The Plan for 2018-2020 is the first plan to be developed under the MOU.
Roles and Work Calendar
The Participants agree to the following work calendar:

3 | Participate in regulatory improvement events hosted by both participants. | The participants agree to participate in events as appropriate and as officials are available. | ||

Mechanisms of Evaluation
The Participants agree to the following evaluation mechanisms:

Final Provisions
This Plan is effective from the date of its final signature by the Participants.
This Plan may be modified at any time by mutual agreement of the Participants. The amendments are intended to be formalized in writing and to specify the date on which they become effective.
The Participants understand that the termination of this Plan is not intended to affect the conclusion of activities that may have been formalized during the time it was in effect, unless the Participants jointly decide otherwise, nor is it intended to affect the MOU on which it is based.
