Minister of Health issues a health challenge to Canadian men for Canadian Men's Health Week 2016 Canadian Men's Health Week, June 13-19, 2016
Statement
During this year’s Canadian Men’s Health Week, I encourage men to do one small thing to improve their health. The week features challenges from prominent Canadians, including our Prime Minister, athletes, Olympians, and celebrities.
I encourage you to take on one of more of the Don’t Change Much challenges, or to post a challenge of your own using the hashtag #MensHealthWeek.
We are also very excited to partner with the Canadian Men’s Health Foundation on their Don’t Change Much initiative. Their online YouCheck Health Tool gets you started on assessing your health and health risks. By encouraging small lifestyle changes that are easy to incorporate into a busy daily life, the Don’t Change Much project encourages men to become healthier Canadians, which is great not only for themselves, but their families and their communities too. A small change can make a big difference in one’s health.
The Honourable Jane Philpott
Minister of Health
