Consultation: Exceptions to the Prescription Drug List

Opened on July 28, 2022 and will close to new input on November 29, 2022.
We're seeking input from health care providers and other stakeholders on current exceptions to the Prescription Drug List as part of regulatory modernization. We'll use the information gathered from this consultation to inform updated health and safety rationales for exceptions to the Prescription Drug List.

Who is the focus of this consultation
Health Canada will seek feedback from:
- healthcare professionals
- patients and caregivers
- health product industry
- government and regulatory partners
- all other interested stakeholders
To seek your feedback on whether some exceptions to the Prescription Drug List are still required and why, we've prepared:

- an online questionnaire
- a product list
We also want to know what impacts could result if these drugs were to be added to the Prescription Drug List.
