The purpose of this consultation is to inform and seek input from the public on a Notice regarding proposed legislative control of chemicals that can be used in the illegal production of fentanyls and amphetamines in order to protect the public health and safety.

About the consultation

Why we are consulting

Health Canada seeks public opinion on the proposed legislative control of chemicals that can be used in the illegal production of fentanyls and amphetamines in order to protect the public health and safety.

The input gathered through this process will be used by the Government to take appropriate actions to address the risk of these chemicals being used in the illegal production of substances that can alter human mental process causing harms to health and safety if used inappropriately.

The purpose of this consultation is to solicit input and comments on the Notice to Interested Parties in the Canada Gazette, Part I. The Notice is being made available for a 30-day public consultation period.
