1. (1) The information that is required to be shown on the inner label of a biocide under subsection 33(1) or 34(1) of the Biocides Regulations must appear parallel to the base of the container and be centred around an imaginary vertical line bisecting the area of the principal display panel of the label.
 - 
    
(2) The following rules also apply in respect of the information:
- (a) each hazard symbol must appear below the brand name of the biocide;
 - (b) the relevant signal words must appear immediately below each hazard symbol; and
 - (c) the relevant primary hazard statements must appear immediately below the relevant signal words.
 
 - 
    
(3) Where more than one hazard symbol is required to be shown on the label, the symbols must appear
- (a) in a row such that a straight line drawn through the centre of the symbols is parallel to the base of the container; and
 - (b) in the following order from left to right:
        
- the symbol that corresponds to the signal word "DANGER",
 - the symbol that corresponds to the signal word "WARNING", and
 - the symbol that corresponds to the signal word "CAUTION".
 
 
 2. (1) Each hazard symbol must be
- (a) except with respect to size and colour, an exact reproduction of that hazard symbol as depicted in the Annex or in Schedule 2 of the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001, as the case may be; and
 - (b) of a sufficient size that the smallest circle that is capable of circumscribing the symbol meets one of the following requirements:
        
- it has an area equivalent to or greater than the larger of
            
- 4 per cent of the area of the principal display panel, and
 - 28 mm2, or
 
 - it has a diameter of at least 50 mm.
 
 - it has an area equivalent to or greater than the larger of
            
 
(2) Despite paragraph (1)(b), if the net quantity shown on the inner label of the biocide is less than 30 mL or 30 g, the hazard symbol must be of sufficient size that the smallest circle that is capable of circumscribing it has a diameter of at least 6 mm.
3. Each signal word must be printed
- (a) in sans serif capital letters; and
 - (b) in boldface type, the height of which is at least one-half the radius of the smallest circle that is capable of circumscribing the hazard symbol that corresponds to the signal word.
 
4. Each primary hazard statement must be printed
- (a) in sans serif capital letters; and
 - (b) in boldface or medium-face type, the height of which is at least
        
- if the area of the principal display panel does not exceed 100 cm2, 4-point (1.5 mm) type,
 - if the area of the principal display panel exceeds 100 cm2 but does not exceed 330 cm2, 9-point (3 mm) type,
 - if the area of the principal display panel exceeds 330 cm2 but does not exceed 650 cm2, 18-point (6 mm) type,
 - if the area of the principal display panel exceeds 650 cm2 but does not exceed 2,600 cm2, 27-point (9 mm) type, and
 - if the area of the principal display panel exceeds 2,600 cm2, 36-point (12 mm) type.
 
 
5. The statements set out in subsection 33(2) and 34(2) of the Biocides Regulations must be printed in boldface or medium-face type, the height of the capital letters of which is at least
- (a) if the area of the display panel does not exceed 170 cm2, 4-point (1.5 mm) type;
 - (b) if the area of the display panel exceeds 170 cm2 but does not exceed 330 cm2, 9-point (3 mm) type;
 - (c) if the area of the display panel exceeds 330 cm2 but does not exceed 650 cm2, 12-point (4.5 mm) type; and
 - (d) if the area of the display panel is more than 650 cm2, 18-point (6 mm) type.
