About the consultation
The Federal-Provincial-Territorial Committee on Drinking Water (CDW) is responsible for establishing and maintaining the Guidelines for Canadian Drinking Water Quality.
Why
The CDW has developed this document with the intent to provide regulatory authorities and decision-makers with information on the Health Canada quantitative microbial risk assessment (QMRA) model.
It has requested that this document be made available to the public and open for comments.
Who
This consultation is intended for scientific or technical audiences who focus on drinking water.
The intent of this document is to provide provincial and territorial regulatory authorities, decision-makers, water system owners, and consultants with guidance on the use of QMRA to assist in understanding microbiological risks in Canadian water systems.
Comments are also welcome from members of the general public.
