Current status: Closed

Opened on September 22, 2022 and closed on November 21, 2022.

Health Canada sought feedback from the public on their views about the impacts of the Cannabis Act, and sought the public’s perspective on the engagement paper, Taking stock of progress: Cannabis legalization and regulation in Canada.

Submissions to the online engagement will be summarized in a report; however, comments will not be attributed to any specific individual or organization. This report may be made public on canada.ca.

The report will be provided to the Expert Panel and will help inform the Expert Panel’s assessment of the Act, and shape findings and recommendations resulting from the review.

This engagement paper is not the only opportunity that the public will have to provide input into the legislative review of the Cannabis Act. The Expert Panel will be undertaking their own engagement activities as part of their mandate.

If you wish to provide your perspectives on the impacts of the Cannabis Act, you can email your submission or comments to legreview-examenleg@hc-sc.gc.ca or send them by mail to:
