All pesticides used in Canada must be registered under the Pest Control Products Act. Pesticides are re-evaluated to ensure that they continue to meet health and environmental requirements. Re-evaluation may result in the revocation of a product or product uses. Health Canada may also request changes to a product's label, including mitigation measures, use sites and application methods.

Ziram is a fungicide registered for control of various fungal diseases on apples, peaches and apricots regionally in British Columbia; and nationally on cucumbers, tomatoes, melons, pumpkins and squash. The re-evaluation decision concerning the agricultural uses of the active ingredient ziram was published on April 14, 2018.

All pesticides containing ziram for agricultural uses are cancelled.

The sale of ziram pesticides is prohibited.

As of December 14, 2021

Any use of ziram pesticides is prohibited.
