About the program

The temporary resident to permanent resident pathway is a limited-time pathway to permanent residence. It is for certain temporary residents who are currently working in Canada and their families.

Once a stream has reached the maximum number of applications, the stream is removed from the portal and you will no longer be able to apply. Make sure that you meet all eligibility criteria before applying for any of the streams.

General streams
