Update to the instructions on entrepreneurs and self-employed candidates seeking to operate a business in Canada [R205(a) – C11]
Summary
The program delivery instructions regarding entrepreneurs and self-employed persons have been updated to clarify the two categories of temporary or permanent residents who may apply for a work permit:
- potential or actual provincial nominees undertaking business activities;
- Quebec-destined entrepreneurs or self-employed persons issued a Quebec Selection Certificate.
The instructions now also include detailed work permit processing and Global Case Management System (GCMS) coding guidelines for applications from temporary, potential or actual permanent residence applicants.
