A footnote regarding Venezuela has been added to the “Exemptions to the 12-month bar” section of the pre-removal risk assessment (PRRA) instructions. The footnote reads as follows:
Effective August 19, 2019, nationals of Venezuela are exempt from the 12-month bar if their Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) or previous PRRA decision was made between August 20, 2018, and August 19, 2019, inclusive. Nationals of Venezuela with a decision made after August 19, 2019, are subject to the 12-month bar.
