Program delivery update: Specialized knowledge for intra-company transferees (exemption code C12)

The instructions have been updated to provide clearer directives to officers regarding the nature of “specialized knowledge”. This will assist officers in processing applications under the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) exemption code C12.

The instructions now specify that to qualify as having “specialized knowledge”, an applicant must have both advanced expertise and proprietary knowledge. An example has also been added to provide guidance to officers.
