The instructions on manually processing electronic travel authorization (eTA) applications have been updated.
New guidelines are available to assist officers with the assessment of multiple open eTA applications and the new eTA revalidation process. With the implementation of the new revalidation functionality, instructions have been updated to ensure the steps to process an eTA revalidation case are consistent across the networks and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). The new revalidation functionality was implemented to improve the tracking of eTA revalidation cases and to provide officers with a dedicated applet to facilitate and record their assessment in regard to sections 12.06 and 12.07 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR).
