The program delivery instructions on the one-year window of opportunity (OYW) provision for government‑assisted and privately sponsored refugees have been updated to explain the centralization of receipt of all OYW applications at the Resettlement Operations Centre in Ottawa. The updates also clarify all procedures regarding OYW applications and the effects of the Canada v. Esfand [2016] decision. The updates clearly outline processing steps and provide clarity on the entire procedure.
