Nationals of Iran are exempt from the 12-month bar if their Immigration and Refugee Board decision or previous pre-removal risk assessment decision was made between December 20, 2021, and December 19, 2022, inclusively. Nationals of Iran with a decision made after December 19, 2022, are subject to the 12-month bar.
