The instructions have been updated to clarify that Italian citizens must provide a certified English or French translation of their residence certificate (“certificato di residenza”) to prove they live in Italy, as outlined in their country’s bilateral agreement with Canada. Italian citizens must be residents of Italy at the time of application.
