Program delivery update: Public policy on exemptions to work permit conditions when changing employment

A temporary public policy has been issued on the temporary worker’s exemption from certain requirements when they are changing employment. This public policy came into effect on May 27, 2025, and remains in effect until it is revoked by the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship.
All the language related to COVID-19 has been removed from the program delivery instructions.
