Indigenous mobility across Canada’s international border with the United States (U.S.), and the right to remain in Canada have long been expressed as a concern by Indigenous stakeholders.
Guidelines for processing applications under the temporary measures for eligible Indigenous persons are available to facilitate issuance of temporary resident documents to these individuals and their family members.
