- As one of the pillars of the Tech Talent Strategy, announced in June 2023, the goal of this initiative is to encourage interaction between high-skilled digital nomads and Canadian employers who might wish to offer employment.
- For many years, Canada has welcomed thousands of digital nomads, who can enjoy cultural and recreational activities while they work for themselves or employers outside the country.
- As with all temporary residents, a digital nomad in Canada may apply for a work permit if they find a Canadian employer.
