No Further Action is taken if the client is:

Subject to a pending claim for refugee protection;
Subject to other admissibility issues, such as non-compliance, or misrepresentation beyond the study permit (not including criminality);
Left voluntarily, in which case notes to file will be added to indicate that they may have an opportunity to provide documents demonstrating that they were a genuine student (i.e.,
enrolled within 2 terms and completed studies); and,
Has been found inadmissible, is no longer in Canada, and is not a genuine student.

Footnote 3

Includes cases returned for criminality. Individuals returned to the CBSA enforcement stream will be advised of the Task Force decision and offered an opportunity to present information on their studies in Canada. Any new information will be considered by the Task Force.

Footnote 4

Review of the list of impacted students referred by the Canada Border Services Agency has reduced the original figure from approximately 309 clients to 285 clients. The 309 included active files for review by CBSA Border Services officers with duplicates. As data was being prepared, these redundant cases were removed.
