Request for proposal seeking the next third-party claims administrator for the Interim Federal Health Program

Ottawa, June 11, 2019 – Public Services and Procurement Canada, on behalf of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, has issued a request for proposal seeking the next third-party claims administrator for the Interim Federal Health Program.

The Interim Federal Health Program provides limited and temporary coverage of health-care benefits, primarily for eligible refugees and refugee claimants, until they receive provincial or territorial health insurance coverage, or until they leave Canada. The program also provides certain pre-departure medical services to refugees destined to Canada for resettlement before their arrival.

The program is administered through a contract with a third-party claims administrator. The current contract is set to expire in January 2022.
