ARCHIVED – Notice – Further update on Canadian visa services available to people in Ukraine
Ottawa, March 21, 2014 — You are invited to access the services of the Embassy of Canada in Kyiv by appointment.
Processing of temporary resident visa applications continues and processing times have remained within the departmental standard.
Permanent resident application processing continues at the Kyiv visa office.
If you are submitting a new application, follow these instructions to avoid delays in processing:
To apply for visitor visas, work permits or study permits, you should:
- Apply online; or
- Apply by mail or in person at the visa application centres (VACs) in Kyiv or Lviv. If you need to provide your biometrics, you can do so at these locations.
To apply for a travel document for permanent residents abroad, you should:
- Apply by mail or in person at the VACs in Kyiv or Lviv.
To apply to immigrate to Canada:
- Find your immigration program and submit your application to the right office in Canada.
- To make a claim for refugee protection, you must be outside your home country and either be referred to Canada for resettlement or make an asylum claim from within Canada. Please note that refugee claims cannot be made at the Embassy of Canada.
