Passport Client Experience Survey for passports issued in 2022

Ottawa, January 27, 2023 — You may be invited to take part in a client experience survey if the Government of Canada issued you a passport in 2022. If you applied for a passport in Canada, you may get a telephone call or an insert with your new passport inviting you to participate. If you applied for a passport outside Canada, you may receive an invitation with your new passport.

About the survey

The Government of Canada is collecting feedback from randomly selected clients who received a passport in 2022. We recognize that there was an unprecedented demand for passports last year, which may have impacted your experience. More than ever, we appreciate your feedback to help us improve our services.

From January to March 2023, you may receive a phone call asking you to take part in a survey about your experience applying for a passport. Alternatively, you may receive an invitation with your new passport that allows you to take the survey online. The survey is being conducted by the research firm Advanis.

Completing the survey is voluntary. Your participation will be kept confidential. What you tell us won’t affect any past, current or future passport applications.

The results of the survey will help us identify emerging trends and issues that you and other clients face, and allow us to improve your experience.
