Apply for permanent residence as a protected person
You can apply for permanent residence (PR) in Canada through this pathway if:
- the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB) decided you are a person in need of protection or a Convention refugee
- you got a positive decision on your pre-removal risk assessment and were granted protected person status
- you are a protected temporary resident
