Canada is dedicated in its support of those affected by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. As part of the Government of Canada’s response, we’ve introduced special measures to help thousands of Ukrainian nationals and their family members find safety in Canada.

Data below is courtesy of the Canada Border Services Agency and corresponds to Ukrainian citizens and returning Canadian permanent residents of Ukrainian origin who entered Canada by land or air between January 1, 2022 and May 14, 2023.
Canada-Ukraine authorization for emergency travel
Through the Canada-Ukraine authorization for emergency travel (CUAET), Ukrainian nationals and their family members can apply for a temporary resident visa to travel to and stay in Canada temporarily.
