"I welcome the construction of new housing in Manawan. The new units will help to fill the housing gap for our current community members as well as for those who will be returning to the community after studying outside the reserve. Additional future housing projects will be adapted to suit our culture and contribute to sustainable development within the community by reducing operating costs. The Council's 2017–2020 strategic planning places great importance on initiatives that promote the development of home ownership, as well as the establishment of pre-fabricated homes in order to increase the quality of life in the community in the short term."
