Report on patented inventions in climate change mitigation technologies

The Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) has released its latest intellectual property (IP) analytics report entitled Patented Inventions in Climate Change Mitigation Technologies. The report examines patented inventions of Canadian researchers and businesses in the area of climate change mitigation technologies.

Clean technology is a key priority of the Government of Canada. The intent of this report is to highlight the areas in climate change mitigation technologies where Canadians are most active and areas where we may have a relative advantage globally.

The Patented Inventions in Climate Change Mitigation Technologies IP analytics report is available online.

This is the second IP analytics report developed by CIPO, the first being the Patent Landscape Report: Shale Oil and Gas that provides Canadian-specific patent information on the shale oil and gas industry, and maps out patented technologies and inventor collaboration.
