New Terms for Chairperson and Vice-Chairpersons

The Governor in Council has reappointed Bruno Hamel, Jim Price, and Denis Brazeau for new terms as Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, and part-time Vice-Chairperson of the Canadian Forces Grievance Board (CFGB).

“I am pleased that these reappointments will ensure continuity and contribute to preserving the knowledge and expertise accumulated by Board members who have been with the CFGB for several years,” said the Chairperson.

“I am confident that with Jim, Denis, and the Board’s staff, we will continue to fulfill our mandate with the highest level of dedication and professionalism,” he added.

This is the second four-year term for Mr. Hamel and it will become effective on March 2, 2013. Mr. Hamel was first appointed Chairperson of the Board on March 2, 2009.

Mr. Price’s new one-year term as Vice-Chairperson started on December 9, 2012. He was first appointed in this position in December 2004.

This is the third three-year term for Denis Brazeau, the part-time Vice-Chairperson of the CFGB, and it will become effective on February 9, 2013. Mr. Brazeau was first appointed as a part-time member of the Board, in June 2006, and later as part-time Vice-Chairperson, starting in February 2007.
