The Committee’s Vice-Chairperson, Jim Price, was awarded the CF Medallion for Distinguished Service by the CDS, General Thomas Lawson

On November 29, 2013, the Vice-Chairperson of the Military Grievances External Review Committee (MGERC), Jim Price, was awarded the Canadian Forces Medallion for Distinguished Service by the Chief of the Defence Staff, General Thomas Lawson. The Medallion is presented on behalf of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) to recognize service of a rare and exceptionally high standard (which accrues great benefit to the CAF as a whole) performed by persons other than active military personnel.

It is a great honour to receive such recognition and I am delighted that, through my work, I was able to make a difference. I take great pride in the work that is being done at the MGERC for the benefit of all men and women of the CAF. It has been my privilege to be part of such an exceptional team, said Mr. Price.

Jim Price is currently on the verge of retiring from the Vice-Chairperson position he held for the past nine years at the MGERC.
