The grievor complained that he had been denied a “top-up” of his temporary duty (TD) benefits while serving on exchange duties from 2012 to 2015. The Committee found that the grievor’s TD had been properly approved by his Host Nation Commanding Officer and he should therefore be entitled to received Canadian TD rates for the periods he was on authorized TD.
FA Decision Summary
The Final Authority agreed with the Committee's findings and recommendation. He directed the Chief of Military Personnel to audit the grievor's TD claims while posted outside Canada and pay any top-up owing.
