# 2020-061 Harassment, Repatriation

Repatriation

Case summary

F&R Date: 2021-06-29

The grievor challenged the dismissal of their harassment complaint, arguing that the responsible officer (RO) failed to acknowledge the distress and impact on the grievor's career. As redress, the grievor requested a formal apology and monetary compensation for loss of employment.

There was no Initial Authority decision.

The Committee found the RO's determination, that harassment did not occur, was unjustified and that there should have been an investigation into the grievor's allegations. However, the Committee found that both the grievor and one of the respondents had since retired and that there was no longer merit in proceeding with a harassment investigation.

The Committee found that the grievor was aggrieved, but recommended that the Final Authority not afford the requested redress.
