Harassment
Case summary
F&R Date: 2022-02-04
The grievor disputed the findings of a harassment investigation. As redress, the grievor requested that the harassment complaint be re-opened and re-investigated by a different investigator.
There was no Initial Authority decision.
The Committee found that the grievor did not provide any new and relevant evidence that the harassment investigator had not considered. The Committee also found that the grievor did not identify any gaps in the iInvestigator's reported facts and evidence, nor explain what information would be gained from interviewing additional witnesses.
The Committee found that procedural fairness was accorded to the grievor throughout the investigative process and that the investigator's reported findings were reasonable and flowed logically from the evidence. The Committee also found that the investigator's final report, and the Responsible Officer's decision, based on that final report, were reasonable. The Committee found that the investigation conclusions and the subsequent closure of the grievor's harassment complaints were justified and in accordance with the directive.
The Committee recommended that the Final Authority not afford the grievor redress.
