Government of Canada to Make an Announcement Regarding Offshore Renewable Energy in Newfoundland and Labrador

OTTAWA — The Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, and the Honourable Dr. Andrew Furey, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, alongside the Honourable Gudie Hutchings, Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and Rural Economic Development, and the Honourable Seamus O’Regan, Minister of Labour and Seniors, are to make an announcement regarding offshore wind power in Newfoundland and Labrador.

A media availability will directly follow the announcement.

Following the media availability, Minister Wilkinson and Premier Furey will participate in a fireside chat, which is also open to media.
