Below are some of our most in demand trades.
Marine Technician
Marine Technicians operate and maintain highly technical propulsion, mechanical and power generation systems, enabling Royal Canadian Navy warships to float, move and fight.
Weapons Engineering Technician
Weapons Engineering Technicians are responsible for the corrective and planned maintenance activities of the weapons systems onboard a ship.
Naval Warfare Officer
Naval Warfare Officers manage and direct the maritime strategy, tactics and procedures in the operation of ships, submarines and aircraft, maritime sensors, combat information and weapons systems.
Naval Communicator
Naval Communicators establish and manage all external voice, radio-teletype and data circuits, and provide real-time tactical information in support of operations.
Naval Combat Information Operator
Naval Combat Information Operators assist and advise the ship’s leadership in navigation, anti-air warfare, anti-surface warfare and anti-submarine warfare.
Sonar Operator
Sonar Operators compile and analyze acoustic intelligence information. The Sonar Operator may be employed in three distinct areas of Anti-Submarine Warfare operations: surface ships, submarines, or Integrated Undersea Surveillance.
Boatswain
Boatswains are the seamanship specialists of the Canadian Armed Forces. They are responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of the ship’s rigging, shipboard cargo handling equipment, boats and small craft.
Naval Electronic Sensor Operator
As members of the ship’s Combat Team, Naval Electronic Sensor Operators detect, locate and identify friendly and enemy submarines, ships and aircraft. They also support the defence of their ship from all threats.
Marine Systems Engineering Officer
Marine Systems Engineers are responsible for the readiness, operation and maintenance of propulsion and ancillary systems, power generation and distribution, auxiliary systems, ship’s service systems, ship and machinery control systems, hull structure, ship’s stability, damage control, and the integration of these systems.
