Our Office has been closely monitoring the progress that the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has been making in the 100-day plan, which it was directed to put in place by the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Finance and National Revenue. Yesterday marked the halfway point for this plan, and that same day the Office of the Auditor General released its report on the CRA’s contact centres.
Today, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of International Trade and to the Secretary of State (International Development) Yasir Naqvi, the honourable Greg Fergus, Member of Parliament for Hull-Aylmer, and Member of Parliament Tatiana Auguste announced over $2.8 million, on behalf of the Honourable Marjorie Michel, Minister of Health, to support 26 recipients through the Promoting Health Equity: Mental Health of Black Canadians Fund.
The Promoting Health Equity: Mental Health of Black Canadians Fund supports Black Canadians to develop more culturally focused knowledge, capacity and programs to improve mental health in their communities.

Today, the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions, announced funding through the Canadian Consumer Protection Initiative (CCPI) to support over 25 consumer-related projects. The program helps strengthen consumer trust in the marketplace, as CCPI funding enables not-for-profit and consumer organizations to conduct research, develop tools and carry out campaigns that address a wide range of consumer issues.
