Today, the Honourable Gudie Hutchings, Minister of Rural Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) announced total investments of $379,089 from the Government of Canada for three community-based projects in St. Anthony. The Honourable Andrew Parsons, KC, Minister of Industry, Energy and Technology (IET), also announced a contribution of $205,472 on behalf of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.
The governments of Canada and Newfoundland and Labrador invest more than $584,000 in the St. Anthony region to stimulate the local economy, create jobs, support the tourism sector, and improve the quality of life for Canadians.
