On March 18, 2023, as a result of the vigilance of staff members, a package containing contraband and unauthorized items was seized on the perimeter of the Federal Training Centre, a multi-level security federal institution. The contraband and unauthorized items seized included 177 grams of marijuana, 119 grams of hashish, 5 grams of cocaine, 4 grams of cannabis wax, and 441 grams of tobacco. The total estimated institutional value of the items seized is $47,124.

On February 27, 2023, as a result of the vigilance of staff members, a package containing contraband and unauthorized items was seized at Atlantic Institution, a maximum-security federal institution. The contraband and unauthorized items seized included Suboxone tablets and strips, methamphetamine crystal and pills, hashish, shatter and shatter papers, a cell phone, a charger, SIM cards, a USB key and a micro SD adapter. On March 1, 11, and 13, 2023, as a result of the vigilance of staff members, packages containing contraband and unauthorized items were seized on the perimeter of Cowansville Institution, a medium-security federal institution. The contraband and unauthorized items seized included 763 grams of cannabis wax, 345 grams of hashish, 104 grams of marijuana, 400 methamphetamine tablets, 950 grams of tobacco, four SIM cards, three cell phones, and accessories. The total estimated institutional value of the items seized is $238,770.
