Beginning June 28, 2023, Canadian Army Leopard 2 Main Battle Tanks will begin transportation by semi-trailer flatbed from Edmonton to Montreal, QC. Media are invited to attend the burials of three Canadian soldiers of the First World War, Private Harry Atherton, Corporal Percy Howarth, and Sergeant Richard Musgrave, at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission’s (CWGC) Loos British Cemetery outside Loos-en-Gohelle, France. All three soldiers were reported missing on August 15, 1917, on the first day of the Battle of Hill 70 near Lens, France, and each was presumed to have died as part of the battle.
