Senior officials from National Defence, Public Services and Procurement Canada, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada as well as the Royal Canadian Air Force will hold a virtual technical briefing, on the Strategic Tanker Transport Capability Project.
Beginning June 28, 2023, Canadian Army Leopard 2 Main Battle Tanks will begin transportation by semi-trailer flatbed from Edmonton to Montreal, QC. Members of the public may notice these Canadian Army vehicles on major Canadian highways. These activities are in direct support of Op REASSURANCE and the recent announcement by the Honourable Anita Anand, Minister of National Defence, regarding the squadron’s deployment to Latvia.

Media are invited to attend the burials of three Canadian soldiers of the First World War, Private Harry Atherton, Corporal Percy Howarth, and Sergeant Richard Musgrave, at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission’s (CWGC) Loos British Cemetery outside Loos-en-Gohelle, France. All three soldiers were reported missing on August 15, 1917, on the first day of the Battle of Hill 70 near Lens, France, and each was presumed to have died as part of the battle.
