“Canada strongly condemns North Korea’s launch of an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) on Thursday, March 24. Canada and its allies had also deplored the launch of North Korea’s missiles in early March, involving a new Intercontinental Ballistic Missile system. These tests pose a direct threat to international and regional peace and security and are a clear violation of the United Nations Security Council resolutions.
International collaboration is critical to strengthening the global rules-based trade system in support of a strong, sustainable, and inclusive recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Likewise, Canada’s close cooperation with its G7 partners is key to leading coordinated trade-related responses to Russian president Vladimir Putin’s unprovoked and unjustifiable invasion of Ukraine.

This week, Minister Ng concluded visits to India, Israel, the West Bank, and the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E) to strengthen Canada’s trade relationships with key partners.
