The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today announced that she will welcome Enrique A. Manalo, Secretary for Foreign Affairs for the Philippines, to Ottawa on May 8, 2024.

Today, the Honourable Ahmed Hussen, Minister of International Development, accompanied by Fayçal El-Khoury, Member of Parliament for Laval-Les Îles, Quebec, Lena Metlege Diab, Member of Parliament for Halifax West, Nova Scotia, as well as members of Canada’s Lebanese community in Montréal, announced that Canada is providing $65 million in international assistance funding, including $27 million in humanitarian assistance funding and $38 million in development assistance funding to Lebanon.
Yesterday, the Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development, welcomed Gan Kim Yong, Minister for Trade and Industry of Singapore, to Ottawa.
This week, Maninder Sidhu, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development was in Paris, France, to meet international partners and participate in the 2024 Ministerial Council Meeting of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
