To maximize value for Canadians we continue to work into close partnership with industry and we are responding to all questions from bidders resulting in this extension. Previously scheduled for June 22, 2017, the deadline for bid submissions is expected to be no sooner than mid-August 2017.

Early this morning one of the Government of Canada data centres experienced an automatic emergency shutdown due to its smoke detection sensors being activated. Power was immediately restored and staff have worked through the night to restore services to the data centre.
