Today, Russ Hiebert, Member of Parliament for South Surrey-White Rock-Cloverdale, on behalf of the Honourable Michelle Rempel, Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification, announced support of over $340,000 for three projects under the Government of Canada's Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program.
MP John Williamson today announced the Harper Government will invest an estimated $32.5 million to improve infrastructure at Ferry Point, Campobello, Milltown and St Croix ports of entry in New Brunswick. This investment is part of the $440 million in infrastructure funding announced in November 2014 by Prime Minister Harper to replace aging ports of entry across Canada.

To help Canadians have better access to these and many other online opportunities, the Honourable Rob Moore, Regional Minister for Newfoundland and Labrador and Minister of State (Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency), on behalf of the Honourable James Moore, Minister of Industry, today announced that the Government of Canada will provide Bell Alliant with up to $611,320, along with $291,910 from the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador through the Rural Broadband Initiative, to connect over 820 homes in Newfoundland and Labrador to high-speed Internet. The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador will partner with Bell Aliant and the Government of Canada on most of the components of this project, with the Government of Canada and Bell Aliant additionally partnering to support new or improved high-speed services in Tilting and Red Cliff.
Today, the Honourable Kevin Sorenson, Minister of State for Finance and Member of Parliament for Crowfoot, on behalf of the Honourable Michelle Rempel, Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification, announced support of $50,000 for the restoration of the Atlas Coal Mine tipple under the Government of Canada's Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program.
