In January 2022, Women and Gender Equality Canada launched a call for proposals in order to bolster the capacity of Indigenous women’s and 2SLGBTQQIA+ organizations to provide gender-based violence prevention programming that will address the root causes of violence. Six Quebec–based projects are recipients of this funding.
