The following information is in addition to the news release issued on February 11, 2025, on CED’s financial assistance, the recipient businesses and organizations, and their respective projects.
Three projects based in British Columbia are funded under the Green Shipping Corridor Program’s Clean Ports stream. Overall, these projects focus on shore power solutions.

The Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Indigenous Services and Minister responsible for FedNor, today announced Government of Canada investments totalling $2,665,565 in support of seven strategic initiatives led by Indigenous communities, businesses, and organizations in Northwestern Ontario.
Canada is imposing sanctions on two individuals in response associated with the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and linked to the continued violence against civilians in Sudan. Through their leadership roles in financing and procurement networks in both opposing factions, these individuals are contributing to continued gross and systematic human rights violations by allowing both parties to sustain the fighting.
On February 6, 2025, the Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, Canada’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, announced up to $43.5 million in investments under two critical mineral funding programs that will help to advance infrastructure to better develop, supply and research critical minerals in Quebec.
