Today, the Honourable Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, and the Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, announced a federal investment of up to $103.7 million from Canada’s Low Carbon Economy Fund (LCEF) and the Oil to Heat Pump Affordability (OHPA) program to support climate action in British Columbia and help low- and middle-income British Columbians reduce their energy costs.

Government of Canada funding showcase of Northern Ontario mining supply and services industry at international mining convention

Anthony Rota, Member of Parliament for Nipissing–Timiskaming, today announced a FedNor investment of $265,000 in support of the Northern Ontario Mining Showcase (NOMS). The funds will allow the City of Temiskaming Shores to again establish the long-running NOMS pavilion at this year’s Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy, and Petroleum convention, CIM Connect 2024. The pavilion will accommodate over 25 mining supply and services businesses and organizations from across Northern Ontario. The announcement was made on behalf of the Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Indigenous Services and Minister responsible for FedNor.
