Two-time Academy Award nominee Cordell Barker will attend the Montreal Stop Motion Film Festival to introduce the Quebec premiere of his new film, If I Was God, produced by the National Film Board of Canada (NFB), and give a masterclass on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at 4:30 p.m. Two other films produced or co-produced by the NFB will also be in competition: Sexy Laundry by Izabela Plucinska (Clay Traces GBR/Fundacja Las Sztuki/NFB) and All the Rage by Alexandra Lemay (NFB). The festival takes place from September 25 to 27.

On September 1, 2015 at approximately 9:01 p.m. staff members of the minimum security unit at Saskatchewan Penitentiary observed inmates Dallas Lee Jebb and Christopher Bradley Spark leaving the institutional property.
