We are here to celebrate the accomplishments of all of the laureates with us today, including Dr. Graeme Wynn, recipient of the 2012 Massey Medal. I would also like to pay tribute to Dr. Derald Smith, recipient of the 2014 Massey Medal, who sadly passed away in June.

We are here today to answer your questions concerning Bill C-43, the Budget Implementation Act, No. 2, which proposes to grant the CRTC expanded tools and responsibilities.
November 18, 2014 - Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird today released the following statement:
"Canada condemns in the strongest possible terms today's savage terrorist attack on a synagogue in Jerusalem.
The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec and the Member of the National Assembly for Laviolette, Ms. Julie Boulet, on behalf of Quebec's Minister of Municipal Affairs and Land Occupancy, Pierre Moreau, are pleased to announce that 13 municipalities in the region of Mauricie will receive $11,445,032 over the next five years under the new federal-provincial Gas Tax Fund agreement and from the Government of Quebec's contribution for the completion of priority infrastructure projects.
