The Honourable Kerry-Lynne D. Findlay, P.C., Q.C., MP for Delta-Richmond East and Minister of National Revenue, on behalf of the Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Public Works and Government Services, is pleased to announce that Public Works and Government Services Canada has awarded a contract, valued at $549,009, to Star Solutions International Inc. This contract is awarded under the Build in Canada Innovation Program for their LTE Band 14 IMPAC System.
Today, the Honourable Bal Gosal, Minister of Sport and Member of Parliament for Bramalea-Gore-Malton, announced support for Canada's robotics system on board the International Space Station (ISS). MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (MDA) in Brampton will design, develop and update camera technology for Canadarm2, Dextre and the Mobile Base System.

Thank you for inviting me to speak to you all today. I am finding that themes of this event today are really resonating with me: Regulatory excellence has been top of mind for me and for our organization lately. I have recently been travelling across Canada, engaging with people all across the country and especially in areas with NEB-regulated facilities: I have heard plenty about the issues, and about ways that our organization could improve its work. It was important to hear that and we are going to take action on that- but I'll say it is really refreshing to have an opportunity to reflect on the stuff that we - and the other federal regulators - are doing right! Canadian regulators are doing tremendous work all across the country, and it is great to hear some of the specific examples.
St. Martins, New Brunswick - The Honourable Rob Moore, Regional Minister for New Brunswick, Minister of State (Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency) and Member of Parliament for Fundy Royal, on behalf of the Honourable Gail Shea, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, announced today that the Government of Canada will be supporting improvements at the small craft harbour in St. Martins.
