Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, October 2, 2014 – On October 3, 2014 the Honourable Michelle Rempel, Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification, will provide remarks at a luncheon hosted by the Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce. The Minister will address the Saskatoon business community and provide an overview of the Government of Canada's 2014 Budget, as well as outline Western Economic Diversification Canada's strategic agenda.

The lockdown put in place in the medium security unit at Warkworth Institution on September 25, 2014 has ended and an exceptional search has been completed. The institution has resumed its normal operations.
On September 27, 2014, at 9:24 pm, a lockdown was put in place at Kent Institution, a maximum security federal institution, to enable staff members to conduct an exceptional search.
The Honourable Dr. K.
